  Back Focus  
  With an overall size of 10" x 12.5" with an image area measuring 9" x 12" (23 x 30.5 cm). For Precise adjustment of back focus in video cameras, essential for proper focus tracking with zoom lenses. Chart consists of converging wedge "star" patterns in center and at four corners of the field.

  Black Pulse  
  With an overall size of 10" x 12.5" with an image area measuring 9" x 12" (23 x 30.5 cm). Used to measure low and intermediate frequency response (streaking) and flare in video systems. Chart consists of a solid white (R = 3%) background with 90% reflective rectangle with width equal to 25% of picture width (approx. 0.05 MHz.) Also on chart is narrow black pulse width equal to 1% W (approx. 1.25 MHz.) Similar to equivalent electronically generated patterns.

  Color Reference  
 

   With an overall size of 10" x 12.5" with an image area measuring 9" x 12" (23 x 30.5 cm). Subjective reference chart for checking color rendition of TV systems. Consists of three primary (red, green, blue) and three secondary (yellow, cyan, magenta) colors, plus 4 grey levels (4%, 45%, 60%, and 80%) in color bar format. Use to evaluate overall system color reproduction by comparing transmitted image with original chart. Also for use as a field reference aid in adjusting monitor on playback of tapes. Not for quantitative use.
   The chart is a subjective color reference and is not intended to produce a display on a vectorscope corresponding to an electronically generated color bar signal.
   The color reference chart should be used to to verify proper color rendition by simultaneously observing the chart and its televised image on a properly adjusted picture monitor.
   The chart may also be used to record a color reference on field-recorded tapes to assist in adjusting TV receiver or monitor color controls during playback.

  Frequency Response Evaluation  
  With an overall size of 10" x 12.5" with an image area measuring 9" x 12" (23 x 30.5 cm). Parallel bar pattern for precise measurement of frequency response and roll-off in video systems. Covers 0.5 to 4.0 Mhz. equivalent video bandwidth. (40 to 320 TV lines). Similar to multi-burst patterns produced by electronic test generators. Chart can be underscanned to produce 1.0 to 8.0 Mhz. range (80 to 640 TV lines) for computer and other high resolution applications.

  Linearity 14 (EIA Type)  
  With an overall size of 10" x 12.5" with an image area measuring 9" x 12" (23 x 30.5 cm). EIA standard for adjustment of camera and monitor linearity. Consists of rectangular array of rings for quantitative use with 17 x 14 grating pattern generator as specified.

  With an overall size of 10" x 12.5" with an image area measuring 9" x 12" (23 x 30.5 cm). Similar to EIA standard chart; used primarily for registration. Consists of a black square grid on a white background, includes vertical and horizontal 200-600 TV lines resolution wedges in center and circular figures at corners for evaluation of linearity.

Adapted from EIA Standard chart, includes resolution targets for 200 to 800 TV lines in center and at four corners. Also includes test objects to detect ringing and streaking. Continuous neutral grey background for shading adjustments.
